During last year’s Melbourne Lockdown, we took the opportunity at GWM Wedding to design something unique and special. We sat down and looked at what the brides had liked, at the current wedding dress trends, and just the general style of the year. We took and researched all of the ‘Haute couture’ techniques used by the best, including Dior, Chanel, etc… With all of that information, we rebuild the way we make our dresses. We now use a specific high fashion of placing for the corset boning and a different technique for our crinoline skirt hoops that allow our brides to walk around and move quickly without compromising in volume.
Once we had finished with all of the research that we needed to create something unique, the fun part of the process started. Our in-house designer came up with nine special dresses for our Haute Couture capsule Collection (Now available in-store).
All of the lace placement, hand beading, and details are unique to our gowns, including the hand pleating for our amazing Grecian wedding dress.
Here is a detailed description of a selection of our Affordable couture wedding dresses:
– GWM2028 – Maggy
This mermaid wedding dress detailed with a hand-beaded bodice and tulle ruching sleeves and skirt is stunning. The gown has a sweetheart neckline and off the shoulders sleeves with gorgeous pearls scattered through the clothing.
– GWM2029 – Sonia
Sonia is a stunning A-line gown in silk, with a tulle, ruffled layers over-skirt. The bodice in blush and lace has hand-beaded pearls and sequences following the lace’s pattern. This wedding dress has an open back with beaded criss-cross straps.
– GWM2030 – Madelaine
Asymmetric neckline, with sweetheart bodice underneath. The fully hand-beaded bodice on top of the lace. The overlay with one long sleeve provides the most wearing wedding dress for the fashionista bride-to-be. Finally, the sheath skirt gives the simplicity to an otherwise very elaborate wedding dress.
– GWM2031 – Elsa
Intricate chiffon pleated fabric, with pearls beaded into the pleats drawing your eye to the waistline. This sheath/soft A-line wedding dress has a beautiful halter neck and opens back—ideal for a romantic wedding.
– GWM2032 – Clare
Fantastic fit and flare gown in crape. Stunning bodice fully beaded and with lace sectioning marked with pipping. The Bride to be can pair this wedding dress with an organza jacket for fall/winter weddings.
– GWM2033 – Carolina
This gown a beautiful princess ball gown in organza. This wedding dress is created with a Dior style petticoat to create a fantastic volume in the skirt. The same ascetic is placed with draping in the bodice. The dress is finished with modern lace placement with pearls.
– GWM2034 – Diane
Illusion A-line, organza overlayer with ruffles and satin fit, and flare skirt underneath. Fully beaded bodice and off-the-shoulder flowy sleeves.
