Lily Tran Stories
After graduating Master of Marketing from Deakin university, Lily was working her way around the fashion industry under different positions. In 2012, Lily had an opportunity to started working with International Bridal Designer around the world through her job like Pronovias, Mori Lee, Ian Struat, Enzoani, Peter Trend…. And also managing the Bridal Custom-Made production in China for her company at that time. Learning from the experience, working directly with Australian Brides, experience Couture’s Seamstress, Lily finding a gap in her work where she can’t have a full control of the production line and minimise mistakes during the process.
In 2015, Lily decided to quit her job , fly back to her home town Hanoi, Vietnam and do her own research ,find the right factory, workshop that suit her professional quality in craftsmanship. She travels to China, Taiwan, Japan… to find the right fabric, material and gather the best team to work with her in Hanoi. Many dresses made as the sample, Lily travels back to Australia, bringing her dress to all the teacher, master, the professional couture seamstress that she knows asking for the expert and guide her to the best.
Jan 2016, She has her first Private Bridal show/ Grand Opening in Hanoi launching her Brand GWM Wedding, Custom Mace Wedding Dresses, Bespoke Wedding Dress . In December 2017, Lily opened her first showroom in Hawthorn, Melbourne. During Covid in 2020, Lily decide to move her showroom to the current location at Camberwell, Melbourne, Australia
Without a degree in Fashion and Design, Lily never thought she would get into designing and Custom made Bridal wear would be her career. During Covid 2020, stuck in the office from home, she decided to improve her team skill by learning from all the big couture designers. After that make her first Haute Couture collection with hand beading lace, hand pleated fabric and try many different techniques and new fabrics. And this collection marked her name in the Custom Made designer in Melbourne and following all the Bespoke bridal dresses design.. 
With Lily her design doesn’t stop at just Dresses, She also open her creativity with other clothes and introduce that into Wedding with Jumpsuit, suit, Bolero and Mix & Match Wedding Wear. GWM Wedding is offering the different and tell the Brides to be themselves and be their own unique way.
