I don't even know where to start on Lily @ GWM - having worked with her in the past, I could not have imagined anyone else designing and making my dress. I came to Lily with photos of a dress I had tried on elsewhere - but wasn't happy with various elements, and Lily completely designed this from scratch, making the adjustments I wanted - including the split and detachable sleeves (so I could dance!). The whole process was seamless, calm and I received a ridiculous number of complements about my dress. She is the absolute GOAT. Lily and the GWM team crafted two incredible wedding dresses for me - one a completely custom dress that I designed, and the second an incredible redesign of my mom's wedding dress. The dresses could not have been more perfect and I'm incredibly grateful to the GWM team for their hard work. Their prices are more than reasonable, the quality of their work is outstanding, and their technical skill means they truly can make your dream dress a reality. I absolutely recommend them to any bride. I wasn't 100% sure of what I wanted for my ceremony dress at the beginning, and because of that experience I can say that the GWM team were equally as supportive, encouraging, engaged, and hard working when I was uncertain as they were when I knew exactly what I wanted. Without them I could not have brought my vision to life. I love the detailed and elegant way that they cut the panels of my dress, I love the fabric we chose, I love the way it fits - I love everything about it. It was insanely comfortable, and they even hemmed the skirt so that my shoes would peek out as I walked because I loved my shoes so much. The attention to detail was incredible. As for the redesign of my mom's dress, GWM did an incredible job of assessing the original dress and talking me through all the possibilities of what we could do with it while honoring the original style. In the end it was an incredible reception dress that was made not only from my mom's dress, but also used the trim from her veil for the straps and other details. My grandma and grandpa were so surprised and happy when they recognised it! They even saved extra veil trim and turned offcuts from my moms skirt into ribbons, all of which was used on my bouquet. It was so meaningful to me that a piece of my mom's dress came down the aisle with me, even while I was wearing my own design. If you're thinking of checking out GWM for your wedding dress, do it! I had a very short Engagment and entered the shop thinking I’ll buy something off the rack and to my surprise Lilly told me she could make me a dress in under 3 months! Designing and customising my own wedding dress was the most magical part of the journey, it came together perfectly and was the talk of the day, I couldn’t recommend GWM enough!
